The founder, Ethan W. Marshburn, is a licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina with over 10 years of experience in the construction & engineering industry.
- He has experience working for a heavy highway/bridge general contractor throughout the southeast (NC, SC, VA, & FL) as a Project Engineer, gaining first hand experience in planning, scheduling, estimating, coordinating design, subcontracting, procuring materials, creating work plans/submittals/RFI's, working with project owner's/stakeholders, tracking/improving cost metrics, creating solutions, and getting things built under budget.
- He also has experience in site design/development, permitting, and mechanical & piping design/construction.
- With this experience, he understands the challenges that construction projects can bring, and the importance of not only finding a solution, but finding a constructible and cost effective solution. He understands the importance of an accurate construction schedule, and the value that this can bring when analyzing cash flow and/or backing up project impact claims. He also understands the nuances that go into building a construction project as well as the numerous avenues that money can be made (or lost) through proper (or improper) estimating, planning, and executing.
